Mercer, global Goth authority and music journalist and
photographer, describes The Duke Steps In as “Indiepop played with a
rugged punk energy … gurgling, demented vocals... Herman introduces
characters and sets scenes, in which everything is half George Orwell, half
Alan Bennett, seen through a glass, incoherently. 2004 Rare Herman Asteroid document discovered. View here. 2002 Herman Asteroid (under the name of Andy Keedwell) contributes
the lyrics to We Want Your Money by the Carpettes on their Fair
Play to “Em comeback album. Mick
Mercer calls the track ‘a chomping, messy thing, but as Herman
Asteroid had a hand in writing it that’s no surprise…’ 2000 Herman performs Minnie the Moocher in Gateshead, UK. 1999 This message was
received: “Just for an update, Mr. Asteroid is alive and well and living in a
brothel in the Caucasus Mountains. ...” we heard in. Since then Herman has
been rumoured to have been residing in the Azerbaijan, Sudan and Armenia. The
people of Djibouti and Cambodia say that he lived there in the past too. |
